NJITT Demonstrates International Service Capabilities: Eight Faculty Members Selected for CATECP Expert Pool

In July 2026, the China-ASEAN Technical Education Cooperation Platform (CATECP)

In July 2026, the China-ASEAN Technical Education Cooperation Platform (CATECP) announced its latest expert pool roster. Eight distinguished faculty members from NJITT’s international logistics program — Chen Min, Qiu Qian, Mao Beibei, Wang Yanmei, Yuan Qian, Zhao Cong, Liu Jing, and Guo Rongmei — were selected in recognition of their strong academic credentials and outstanding capacity for international service. This achievement is both a testament to the faculty’s professional excellence and a reflection of the institute’s long-standing commitment to the internationalization of vocational education and the development of a high-caliber “double-qualified” teaching workforce. It also represents a solid step forward in NJITT’s efforts to support the Belt and Road Initiative and advance Chinese vocational education standards internationally. These eight faculty members are not only dedicated educators but also possess broad international perspectives and cross-cultural communication skills, with deep knowledge of the latest trends and technical standards in the international logistics industry. Their ability to integrate cutting-edge industry practices into teaching and standards development has built a valuable pool of international talent for the institute.

As a core think tank for the CATECP platform, the eight newly appointed experts will take on significant responsibilities and play a key role in the platform’s strategic planning and core operations. They will assist vocational institutions in ASEAN countries in aligning with Chinese vocational education standards and refining their talent development programs to better meet regional industry needs; leverage their professional expertise to review and assess the quality of educational resources available on the platform, ensuring that the content made available is both relevant and practical; participate in the development of internationally applicable logistics technical standards, helping to transform Chinese standards into regional and even international benchmarks, thereby strengthening China’s voice in global vocational education; and serve as ambassadors for cultural exchange and technical cooperation, facilitating deeper engagement and resource sharing between China and ASEAN countries in the vocational education sector. Their work will directly contribute to enhancing the quality of platform resources and standards, driving China-ASEAN vocational education cooperation to a higher level.

NJITT will take this opportunity to further refine its mechanisms for nurturing and incentivizing internationally oriented talent, continuing to support faculty in “going global” and encouraging more outstanding educators to engage in high-level academic exchanges and technical services through international platforms such as CATECP. At the same time, the institute will actively introduce advanced international educational concepts and resources to enrich its domestic teaching and learning, achieving a true two-way flow of “bringing in” and “going out.” Looking ahead, the selected experts will fully leverage their professional strengths to contribute “NJITT wisdom” and “NJITT strength” to deepening China-ASEAN technical education cooperation, helping the institute achieve new milestones on its path to internationalizing vocational education.
