    Zheng He · Treasure-Ship Workshop” Inaugurated in Brunei to Strengthen China–Brunei Vocational Education Cooperation

    Nanjing Vocational Institute of Transport Technology (NJITT) officially inaugurated the “Zheng He · Treasure-Ship Workshop” in Brunei on June 25, 2024, in cooperation with SEAMEO VOCTECH. Led by Vice Dean Liu Xuefen, a six-member delegation visited Brunei to promote deeper vocational education collaboration with ASEAN partners.

    The unveiling ceremony was attended by representatives from NJITT, and SEAMEO VOCTECH. Both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in modern logistics management curriculum development, international standards promotion, faculty development, and “Chinese + Skills” training, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The event attracted coverage from Brunei’s mainstream media.

    Zheng He · Treasure-Ship Workshop” Overseas Teaching Mission Successfully Completes Training Program in Brunei

    An overseas teaching delegation from Nanjing Vocational Institute of Transport Technology’s “Zheng He · Treasure-Ship Workshop” successfully completed its training mission in Brunei and returned to Nanjing on April 25, 2025. The program aimed to deepen China–Brunei vocational education cooperation through training sessions, enterprise visits, and academic exchanges.

    The delegation delivered specialized courses for students and faculty at the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) and Laksamana College of Business (LCB), covering international trade, e-commerce, marketing, and logistics information technology. The sessions combined theory with simulations, case studies, and interactive discussions.

    In addition, the team launched a “Chinese + Vocational Skills” program, providing customized training for around 400 local youths and employees of Chinese enterprises in Brunei, focusing on cross-border e-commerce and supply chain management.

    During the visit, the delegation also conducted research at Muara Port Company and held discussions on school-enterprise cooperation, curriculum development, and talent cultivation, laying a solid foundation for future collaboration.

    NJITT Recognized as “China-ASEAN Outstanding Vocational Education Partner”

    The 2025 China-ASEAN Vocational Education Federation Annual Conference was held during the China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week, gathering over 180 representatives from China and ASEAN countries to explore new approaches to vocational education cooperation.

    At the conference, NJITT was selected as part of the third batch of “China-ASEAN Outstanding Vocational Education Partners,” in recognition of its strong collaboration with Brunei’s Laksamana College of Business (LCB), SEAMEO VOCTECH, and Muara Port Company (MPC).

    Soufri Ali, Deputy Director of SEAMEO VOCTECH, spoke highly of NJITT’s overseas training programs in Brunei and their contribution to local talent development. In addition, NJITT representative Yuan Qian shared insights on challenges in international cooperation projects and proposed practical solutions based on the institute’s experience.

    Intelligent Logistics Program at Nanjing Vocational Institution of Transport Technology Receives Certification and Launches Courses

    In April 2024, our achievements in developing the Intelligent Logistics Technology program received certification from the China–ASEAN Technical Education Cooperation Platform (CATECP), and the relevant program standards and course resources were officially incorporated into the platform. This marks a breakthrough for our institution in the internationalization of vocational education, the international dissemination of program standards, and the overseas promotion of high-quality teaching resources.

    The certified Intelligent Logistics Technology program closely aligns with trends toward digitalization and intelligent transformation in the modern logistics industry. Focusing on occupational competency requirements in the logistics industry, the program integrates program teaching standards, vocational skills development, and real-world work processes. It has systematically developed a comprehensive system of teaching resources suitable for international dissemination and application.

    To date, course resources developed by our institution, including Smart Transportation Management, Logistics Customer Service, and Chinese for Logistics, have been officially made available on the CATECP platform. The courses cover smart transportation operations, logistics information management, customer service, and Chinese for the logistics workplace. They focus on developing students’ professional skills, ability to apply digital technologies, and cross-cultural communication competence in real-world modern logistics work settings. Since their launch, these course resources have been widely accessed and used, with the courses recording more than 7,000 clicks in total. They have provided high-quality teaching resources and a valuable reference for program development and the training of skilled logistics professionals in ASEAN countries.

    Going forward, the institution will use this certification as an opportunity to further leverage the distinctive strengths and resources of its transportation-related programs. It will continue to improve internationally oriented program teaching standards and course resources while strengthening exchanges and cooperation with vocational institutions, industry organizations, and enterprises in ASEAN countries.
