In support of China’s Belt and Road Initiative and to meet the growing and diverse learning needs of students in ASEAN countries and beyond, Nanjing Vocational Institute of Transport Technology (NJITT) has developed and launched five new international digital course resources, now officially available on the China-ASEAN Technical Education Cooperation Platform (CATECP). The five core courses — Warehousing and Distribution Management Practice, International Cargo Transport Insurance, International Freight Forwarding Practice, International Trade Practice, and International Customer After-Sales Service — Automotive Sector Focus — are built on NJITT’s international logistics program standards and are designed to deliver high-quality, industry-relevant content that meets international benchmarks.

The curriculum of these five courses is carefully structured around the core competency requirements of the modern logistics industry chain, integrating theoretical knowledge with hands-on skills. Through systematic study, students will gain a solid command of the fundamental concepts, operational processes, and theoretical underpinnings of warehousing and distribution management, as well as a thorough understanding of cargo transport insurance and risk mitigation strategies. In addition, the courses equip students with the operational procedures and core skills required in international freight forwarding, the ability to draft key terms in international trade contracts with precision, and familiarity with automotive after-sales service roles and international service standards. Together, these courses build a comprehensive and practical knowledge base that not only prepares students for further study or careers in international logistics but also opens up broader opportunities for their future professional development on a global scale.

The successful launch of these digital course resources on the CATECP platform marks a significant step forward in NJITT’s commitment to advancing the internationalization of vocational education and promoting Chinese vocational education standards abroad. Looking ahead, the institute will continue to leverage its strengths in transportation-related programs, enrich its international teaching resource pool through platforms such as CATECP, and deepen exchanges and cooperation with vocational institutions, industry organizations, and enterprises across ASEAN countries — contributing its expertise to the cultivation of high-caliber technical talent for the global logistics industry.
