The SEAMEO Regional Centre for Vocational and Technical Education and Training (SEAMEO VOCTECH) was established in Brunei Darussalam in 1990 under the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO). Guided by its official motto, "Together We Excel," the Centre is dedicated to strengthening Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) across Southeast Asia through capacity building, research, innovation, and regional collaboration.
In recent years, the Centre has placed increasing emphasis on promoting inclusive TVET for a green and digital future, supporting educators, TVET practitioners, policymakers, and institutions in responding to the evolving demands of Industry 4.0 and sustainable development. Its core services include professional development programmes, regional research and consultancy, knowledge sharing, and collaborative initiatives that foster innovation and best practices in TVET. The Centre also works closely with governments, educational institutions, international organizations, and industry partners to strengthen TVET systems throughout the region.
Through these efforts, SEAMEO VOCTECH continues to serve as a regional centre of excellence for capacity building, innovation, and cooperation in technical and vocational education and training across Southeast Asia.
